Im not sure why, but there's just something sentimental about this year's celebration of National Day that made me feel warm within. I never Had this warm feeling during national day since i was like 10yo? after so long and then now its back!! weird huh? but its true..
When we were younger all we ever thought about was having fun during this sort of Festive occassion. and i mean like FUN! but the FUN we always looked forward for was the Goodie Bags etc. But now when im older, things have much more clearer meanings for me. Singapore is indeed my one and only home. True Home. Despite the negative assumptions i made about Singapore, I still love Her no matter what. Now that im apart from my BestFriends. J&D in particular, i've realised that i wouldnt have found these people if it wasnt for Singapore's multi-racial cohesion and for all races to coexist together harmoniously. Its with these policy that i found my friends. Thank you singapore. I really cant stop singing Nat'day Songs. They finally brought meaning to me. Try listening to it now! yes YOU! You're much older now and we're able to comprehend things in a much broader prospective.. so yeah! HAPPY BIRTHDAY SINGAPORE!! im proud to be a Singaporean. We may be kiasu but Im still Proud!
