I just caught this movie and i would say that its rather funny. Especially with Lindsay Lohan acting as the main lead. This Movie shows the controversies about some of the things pregnant women experience. Lindsay Lohan acted the part as "Thea" in this movie wasnt actually pregnant. She come up with a lie just to get her by from getting fired from her current job. Eversince, People around her begin to Believe her Lies. With that she, became the centre of attention. self-directed and taking advantage of the situation.
As she "pretended" to be pregnant later on in the movie, she had to create illusions to make sure she loooked legitimate. Taking safety precautions like a real mother which she's not. Her "precautions " eventually overcome she selflessness making her believe and think and act like an actual Mother. Obsessively in denial that she's pretending. Her pretentious self was soon noticed by her sister."Emma" who unveiled the Humiliations and Lies she was trying to hide. She was Out of her suit and came clean and restore orders that her "lies" have done.. so if u wanna know more.. go catch the movie!
This movie sort of embraces the pains of labour. The mess and the disfunctions. The pressure that every lady will soon face. Looking for the proper maternal dresses and handling themselves with care. Then constraining themselves from their usual habits and getting used to new ones. Not forgetting both their lives and their infant within them are on the line aswell.
There's also an ambiguous factor to this movie. Whther this movie should imply for Mothers, liars, or is this movie simply a comic for the sake of making comedy movies alive among the living. It's good that Dramatical climate was kept minimal. Evenso, the movie ended with a sweet note, it tells us that sometimes some lies help us find people. the right people for ourselves eventhough they eventually come out unexpectedly. In the movie, Thea got married with her Boss;whom she lied to about her being pregnant.But in the end, she really got pregnant! and he accepted her eventhough she lied about her pregnancy all those time. Her lies was seen as a contributing factor that brought them closer together as colleaguesand the most intimate details of their personal lives were soon expressed. It was unforeseeable that they become couple eventhough some aspects was obvious. Yet, they know they were meant for each other in the end.
